Rajasthan is one of North India's biggest industrial states, and the climate makes ventilation matter more here than almost anywhere else. The interior summer in Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota and the Marwar belt regularly crosses 45 to 48C, so a sheet-metal shed without proper air movement turns into an oven by mid-morning. We have spent years on Rajasthan factory floors, and the lesson never changes: in this dry, hot climate the right ventilation is never one product, it is the right mix of air movement, evaporative cooling and extraction for that exact heat, dust or fume load.

The industrial base is huge and varied. Rajasthan is anchored by RIICO, which has developed more than 419 industrial areas with over 44,400 functional units, and the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor cuts straight through the Khushkhera-Bhiwadi-Neemrana belt in Alwar, now North India's fastest-growing auto and electronics zone. Jaipur is the world's largest gemstone cutting hub alongside textiles and engineering, Bhilwara is the Textile City of India, Jodhpur leads handicrafts, steel re-rolling and guar gum, Pali and Balotra are dyeing-textile clusters, Udaipur dominates marble, and Kota runs chemicals, fertiliser and Kota-stone. Each one breathes differently: marble and stone dust in Udaipur, textile lint in Bhilwara, dyeing and chemical corrosion in Pali, foundry and furnace heat in the steel units.

Fresh capacity keeps coming. The Mahindra World City SEZ near Jaipur, at about 3,000 acres the largest in North India, the Japanese Industrial Zone at Neemrana, and the new investment-summit-driven RIICO areas are all bringing up high-bay sheds and warehouses that need air movement and extraction from day one. A new electronics line in the KBN belt has the same first question an old Jodhpur foundry has: how do we keep this floor workable through a 47C Rajasthan summer.

One real advantage of Rajasthan's climate is that the air is dry, which is exactly where evaporative air coolers work best. In humid coastal states a cooler does little, but in Jodhpur or Bikaner a properly sized evaporative cooler can drop the air 8 to 12 C at a workstation for a fraction of the cost of refrigerated cooling. This page is the hub. Below we break down each major Rajasthan hub, why it needs ventilation, and which Aruth system fits, then link you down to the city pages for detail. We are based in Ahmedabad, but we supply and install all over India, and Rajasthan is one of our core states. Wherever you are, from Bhiwadi to Balotra, the first step is the same: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

Jaipur (Sitapura & VKI)

Gems & jewellery, textiles, handicrafts, engineering
1/8

The world's largest gemstone cutting and polishing hub, plus textiles, handicrafts and engineering across the Sitapura and VKI (Vishwakarma) industrial estates and the Mahindra World City SEZ. Cutting and polishing floors run fine stone dust and need steady, even airflow that does not scatter it, so most units pair HVLS fans over the floor with extraction at the dust source, while engineering and textile sheds add evaporative coolers for the dry 45C summer.

How to choose: HVLS vs exhaust vs coolers for a Rajasthan factory

The short answer: HVLS fans for general comfort cooling over large open floors, exhaust fans to physically remove heat, dust, fumes or humidity, evaporative air coolers for spot-cooling people in Rajasthan's dry heat, and FRP exhaust where the air is corrosive. Most Rajasthan plants we fit end up with a combination, because the loads stack. A Pali dye house, for example, needs FRP exhaust to evacuate chemical steam AND coolers to make the working positions bearable.

The deciding factor is what is actually in your air, and how dry the heat is. If the problem is hot, still air over a big shed, a KBN warehouse, a Jaipur engineering floor, a Bhilwara weaving shed, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler. Because Rajasthan's interior air is dry, evaporative coolers add real spot relief at workstations, dropping the air 8 to 12 C where people stand. And if the problem is something you must physically get out of the building, marble dust in Udaipur, stone dust in Jaipur and Kota, wood dust in Jodhpur, furnace heat in steel re-rolling, dye-chemical vapour in Pali, you need exhaust, and in the corrosive dyeing and chemical air that means FRP exhaust fans that will not rust out in a year.

Open, hot, low-fume sheds (KBN warehouses, engineering, packaging): HVLS fans 2.4 m to 7.3 m, up to 30% lower bills than banks of conventional fans.
Auto press, weld & paint shops (Bhiwadi, Neemrana, Alwar): HVLS over the floor plus industrial exhaust to pull weld smoke and paint solvent out.
Corrosive dyeing & chemical fumes (Pali, Balotra, Kota chemicals): FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM.
Stone & marble dust (Udaipur marble, Jaipur gems, Kota-stone): dust extraction and exhaust at the source, with HVLS over the open floor.
Extreme dry heat (Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota at 45 to 48C): evaporative air coolers for workstation relief, which work especially well in this arid climate.
Foundries & steel re-rolling (Jodhpur, Alwar): high-capacity exhaust to clear furnace heat, with HVLS away from the furnace line.

Why Rajasthan factories switch to gearless HVLS

The number that moves Rajasthan plant owners is the power bill, and it lands harder here because of the long, hot summer. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power consumption, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months. In Jodhpur, Bikaner and Kota, where sheds run long cooling hours through a 47C summer, that payback comes even faster.

Gearless also means almost no maintenance, there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up in the dusty, stone-laden Rajasthan air, which matters a lot in marble, gems and stone units. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths gets straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey: floor area, roof height, headcount and your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.

Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Rajasthan

We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Rajasthan plant: factory pricing, custom sizes fabricated in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and Rajasthan is a neighbouring core state for us, an easy run up from Ahmedabad, so this is routine work for our team, not an out-of-area exception.

We supply and install all over Rajasthan, from Jaipur, Bhiwadi, Neemrana and Alwar to Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Pali, Balotra, Kota and Udaipur, and across the RIICO industrial areas in between. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor, measuring your area, roof height and heat, dust, fume or humidity load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single gem-polishing unit in Sitapura or a multi-bay dye house in Pali, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.

Case study: a Pali dye house clears chemical steam and cools its floor

  1. Before — the problem

A textile dyeing and printing unit in the Pali industrial area called us with a problem we see right across the Pali-Balotra cluster. Their 18,000 sq.ft dye house ran open jigger and printing lines that filled the shed with hot, acidic, dye-chemical steam, and the combination of that vapour and the constant humidity had already rusted out two sets of ordinary steel exhaust fans in under two years. On top of that, the floor itself sat at 46C through the summer afternoon and the working positions near the dye baths were close to unbearable.

  2. What Aruth installed

We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 7.5 m, and mapped where the chemical steam was hanging over the dyeing and printing lines. Our recommendation was a combination built for corrosion: six FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans, sized around 40,000 CFM total, on the dye-house wall to physically pull the acidic steam and humidity out instead of letting it rot the building, plus two industrial evaporative air coolers at the printing and inspection positions to give the operators direct relief in the dry outdoor heat.

  3. The result

After installation the chemical haze cleared, the shed stopped trapping steam, and because the new fans are FRP they are built to survive the dyeing air that destroyed the steel units. The evaporative coolers dropped the air around 9 C at the working positions, which the operators felt immediately. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end. The owner's main comment was that he should have switched to FRP years and two rusted fan sets ago.
