Maharashtra is India's largest industrial economy, and no two MIDC estates have the same ventilation problem. Walk into a press shop in Chakan in May and the issue is radiant heat off the dies plus weld smoke trapped under a high roof. Drive three hours to a chemical plant in Tarapur and the problem changes completely: acid mist and solvent vapour that eat ordinary steel fans within a year. We have spent years on Maharashtra factory floors like these, and the lesson never changes: the right ventilation is never one product, it is the right product for that exact heat, fume, dust or humidity load.

The state's geography makes it harder. Vidarbha and Marathwada, around Nagpur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, regularly cross 44C in the interior summer, so sheds there bake. The Konkan coast and the Mumbai-Thane-Raigad belt are humid and salt-laden, which corrodes equipment and makes still air feel worse than the thermometer says. Across the 300-strong MIDC network, you have auto and EV in Pune-Chakan-Aurangabad, chemicals and pharma in Tarapur, Mahad and Patalganga, engineering everywhere, textiles in Ichalkaranji and Solapur, plus food processing, foundries and electronics. Each one needs a different answer.

Future demand is only growing. The AURIC city under DMIC near Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the large EV and PLI investments landing in the Pune and Aurangabad corridors, and MIHAN logistics at Nagpur are all bringing up new high-bay sheds and warehouses that need air movement and extraction from day one. A new EV battery line or a fresh logistics warehouse has the same first question an old foundry has: how do we keep this floor workable through a Maharashtra summer.

This page is the hub. Below we break down each major Maharashtra hub, why it needs ventilation, and which Aruth system fits, then link you down to the city and cluster pages for detail. We are based in Ahmedabad, but we supply and install all over India, and Maharashtra is one of our core states. Wherever you are, from Chakan to Kolhapur, the first step is the same: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

Pune & Chakan

Auto & EV cluster (MIDC Chakan, Talegaon, Ranjangaon)
1/8

Maharashtra's auto and EV heart, with vehicle assembly, press shops, paint shops and hundreds of component sheds across Chakan, Talegaon and Ranjangaon. Press and weld bays trap radiant heat and smoke under high roofs, so most units here run 6.1 m or 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open floor together with industrial exhaust to pull paint-shop solvent vapour and weld fumes out.

How to choose: HVLS vs exhaust vs coolers for a Maharashtra factory

The short answer: HVLS fans for general comfort cooling over large open floors, exhaust fans to physically remove heat, fumes, dust or humidity, and air coolers for spot-cooling people at workstations. Most Maharashtra plants we fit end up with a combination, because the loads stack. A Chakan paint shop, for example, needs exhaust to evacuate solvent vapour AND HVLS to keep the assembly floor comfortable.

The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If the problem is hot, still air over a big shed, a MIHAN warehouse in Nagpur, an assembly bay in Chakan, an EV line at Shendra, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler. If the problem is something you need to physically get out of the building, paint solvent in Chakan, acid mist in Tarapur, furnace smoke in a Kolhapur foundry, lint in an Ichalkaranji weaving shed, you need exhaust, and in corrosive chemical or coastal air that means FRP exhaust fans that will not rust out in a year.

Open, hot, low-fume sheds (MIHAN warehouses, engineering, packaging): HVLS fans 2.4 m to 7.3 m, up to 30% lower bills than banks of conventional fans.
Auto press, weld & paint shops (Pune, Chakan, Aurangabad): HVLS over the floor plus industrial exhaust to pull weld smoke and paint solvent out.
Corrosive fumes (Tarapur, Patalganga, Mahad, plating units in Taloja): FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM.
Extreme radiant heat (Kolhapur foundries, Nagpur steel & furnaces): high-capacity exhaust to clear hot air, with HVLS away from the furnace line.
Heat + humidity (Ichalkaranji/Solapur textiles, food processing): exhaust to evacuate steam and lint, plus HVLS for comfort.
Targeted relief for people (QC lines, loading bays, workstations): industrial and portable air coolers and man-cooler fans.

Why Maharashtra factories switch to gearless HVLS

The number that moves Maharashtra plant owners is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power consumption, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. In Vidarbha and Marathwada, where sheds run long cooling hours through a 44C summer, that payback comes even faster.

Gearless also means almost no maintenance, there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up in dusty MIDC air. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths gets straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey: floor area, roof height, headcount and your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.

Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Maharashtra

We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Maharashtra plant: factory pricing, custom sizes fabricated in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and Maharashtra is one of our core states, so this is routine work for our team, not an out-of-area exception.

We supply and install all over Maharashtra, from Pune, Chakan, Mumbai, Thane and Nashik to Nagpur, Aurangabad, Tarapur, Raigad, Kolhapur, Ichalkaranji and Solapur. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor, measuring your area, roof height and heat, fume, dust or humidity load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single component shed in Chakan or a multi-bay chemical plant in Tarapur, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.

Case study: a Chakan auto component plant cools its weld and assembly floor

  1. Before — the problem

An auto component supplier in the Chakan MIDC near Pune, feeding pressed and welded parts to one of the corridor's vehicle assembly plants, called us with a problem we see all over the auto belt. Their 26,000 sq.ft high-bay shed ran weld heat, radiant roof load and 42C summer air together, and by mid-morning the welding and sub-assembly floor was unbearable. A long row of pedestal fans just pushed hot, smoky air around at head height while drawing a steady power load all day.

  2. What Aruth installed

We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 9 m, and mapped where the weld smoke was collecting over the fixture lines. Our recommendation was a combination: three 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open assembly floor to create a steady whole-floor breeze, plus four industrial wall exhaust fans, sized around 40,000 CFM total, on the weld-bay wall to physically pull the heat and welding smoke out instead of letting it hang under the roof.

  3. The result

After installation the floor ran noticeably cooler, the welding haze cleared, and because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors the plant replaced roughly 18 pedestal fans with far lower running cost, with fan-related power dropping sharply. On their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
