Kota is a working industrial city, not a single-industry town, and that is exactly why ventilation here is never one product. In the RIICO areas you have chemicals and fertilisers throwing off corrosive fumes, Kota-stone units cutting and polishing all day in clouds of fine dust, engineering and power-equipment workshops radiating heat off machines, and the famous Kota Doria textile work. Each of these has a completely different air problem, and we have spent years on floors like these learning that the right fix is always the right product for that exact fume, dust or heat load.

The climate makes it harder. Kota sits in southern Rajasthan, and interior summers here cross 45 to 48C, so a steel shed without proper air movement turns into an oven by mid-morning. The heat is dry, though, which is good news: dry heat is exactly where evaporative air coolers work best, dropping the air temperature several degrees where people actually stand, unlike on the humid coast where coolers struggle. So in Kota the smart mix often runs HVLS fans overhead, exhaust to throw fumes and dust out, and coolers for spot relief at workstations.

The fume and dust side is where Kota differs most from a general engineering town. Chemical and fertiliser plants in the RIICO belt give off acidic and corrosive vapour that eats ordinary galvanised steel fans within a season, which is why those units need FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) exhaust fans built to survive the air. Kota-stone cutting and polishing, meanwhile, is a heavy-dust process: that fine stone dust needs powerful exhaust to pull it out of the shed before it settles on machines, lungs and finished slabs.

This is the Kota hub page. Below we cover the local RIICO estates, which Aruth product solves which Kota problem, why factory owners here switch to us, and how our free survey and India-wide install actually works. We are honest about it: we are based in Ahmedabad, not a Kota workshop, but we install right across Rajasthan with our own team, and Kota is regular work for us. Wherever your shed is in the city, the first step is the same, a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote with no obligation.

Kota RIICO Industrial Areas (Indraprastha & Ranpur)

RIICO industrial area: chemicals, fertilisers, engineering, stone processing
1/1

The Indraprastha and Ranpur RIICO industrial areas are Kota's main manufacturing belt, packed with chemical and fertiliser plants, engineering workshops and Kota-stone processing units side by side. The chemical and fertiliser units throw off corrosive fumes that demand FRP exhaust fans, the stone units fill the air with heavy cutting dust that needs high-capacity exhaust, and the engineering sheds bake under southern-Rajasthan heat, so most plants here run a mix of FRP exhaust, industrial exhaust and overhead HVLS fans.

How to choose: HVLS, exhaust, FRP exhaust or coolers for a Kota factory

The short answer for Kota: HVLS fans for overhead comfort across big open floors, industrial exhaust to physically throw out heat and stone dust, FRP exhaust for corrosive chemical and fertiliser fumes, and evaporative air coolers for spot relief in the dry 45 to 48C summer. Most Kota plants we fit end up with a combination, because the loads stack: a stone unit needs dust exhaust AND overhead cooling, a chemical unit needs FRP exhaust AND comfort fans for the packing floor.

The deciding factor is always what is actually in your air. If the problem is hot, still air over a big engineering or power-equipment shed, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler at skin level. If the problem is something you must physically get out of the building, Kota-stone cutting dust, acid and fertiliser fumes, machine heat, you need exhaust. And in the corrosive air of the chemical and fertiliser units, that means FRP exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM that will not rust out in a season, not ordinary steel.

Open, hot engineering & power-equipment sheds: HVLS fans 2.4 m to 7.3 m, up to 30% lower bills than banks of conventional fans.
Chemical & fertiliser plants (RIICO Indraprastha, Ranpur): FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM to clear acidic and corrosive fumes.
Kota-stone cutting & polishing units: high-capacity industrial exhaust to pull heavy stone dust out before it settles on machines and slabs.
Dry 45 to 48C summer heat at workstations: evaporative industrial and portable air coolers, which work especially well in Kota's dry air.
Kota Doria and textile sheds: HVLS overhead for comfort, exhaust to clear humidity and lint from any sizing or processing.
Combined loads: HVLS overhead plus exhaust on the wall, sized together during the free survey.

Why Kota factories switch to gearless HVLS

The number that moves Kota plant owners is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power use, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months. In Kota, where sheds run long cooling hours through a 45 to 48C summer, that payback comes even faster.

Gearless also means almost no maintenance: there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up in the fine stone and process dust that hangs in many Kota sheds. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths is simple. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey, floor area, roof height, headcount, your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.

FRP exhaust for Kota's chemical and fertiliser plants

For Kota's chemical and fertiliser units in the RIICO belt, FRP exhaust is the only honest answer. Acidic mist and corrosive fertiliser-process vapour destroy ordinary galvanised steel fans within a single season, so we supply FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) corrosion-proof exhaust fans built to survive that air. They go up to about 44,000 CFM and are sized to keep reactor halls, process areas and packing floors safely ventilated.

The same logic applies wherever the air is aggressive. If you are not sure whether a process needs FRP or standard industrial exhaust, that is exactly what the survey settles: our engineer checks what your process actually emits and recommends the right material, so you do not overspend on FRP where plain steel would last, or underspend where corrosion would kill a steel fan in months.

Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Kota and Rajasthan

We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Kota plant: factory pricing, custom sizes built in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and Rajasthan is regular territory for our team.

We are honest about geography: we are Ahmedabad-based, not a same-city Kota workshop, but we supply and install right across Rajasthan, including Kota, with our own team. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful, an experienced engineer on your floor measuring your area, roof height and heat, fume or dust load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single stone-cutting shed or a multi-bay chemical plant in the RIICO area, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.

Case study: a Kota RIICO unit clears stone dust and cools its floor

  1. Before — the problem

A Kota-stone processing and engineering unit in the Ranpur RIICO area called us with a problem we see all over the city's stone belt. Their 22,000 sq.ft shed ran cutting and polishing machines all day, so fine stone dust hung in the air and settled on everything, and on top of that the steel roof pushed the floor past 46C through the summer. A long row of pedestal fans just stirred the dust around at head height while drawing power all day and cooling almost nothing.

  2. What Aruth installed

We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 8.5 m, and mapped where the cutting dust was collecting over the saw lines. Our recommendation was a combination: three 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open floor for a steady whole-floor breeze, plus a bank of industrial wall exhaust fans, sized around 40,000 CFM total, on the cutting-bay wall to physically pull the heavy stone dust and hot air out instead of letting it settle.

  3. The result

After installation the floor ran noticeably cooler, the dust haze cleared off the machines and slabs, and because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors the unit replaced roughly 18 pedestal fans at far lower running cost. On their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
