Karnataka is one of India's most varied manufacturing states, and the ventilation problem changes the moment you cross from the Bengaluru plateau into the hot interior or down to the coast. Walk into a machine-tool shop in Peenya in April and the issue is mostly trapped heat and stale air under a high truss roof, in a city that is otherwise mild. Drive north to a foundry in Belagavi or a steel bay in Ballari and the problem changes completely: intense radiant furnace heat and metal dust that need high-capacity exhaust to clear. Go west to Mangaluru and it changes again: hot, humid, salty coastal air that eats ordinary steel fans within a year. We have spent years on factory floors exactly like these, and the lesson never changes: the right ventilation is never one product, it is the right product for that exact heat, fume, dust or humidity load.
Karnataka's climate is genuinely mixed, more than almost any state we work in, and that drives different answers in different cities. Bengaluru and the southern plateau are mild year-round, so there the priority is air movement and extraction rather than heavy cooling: HVLS fans to wash the floor with a steady breeze and exhaust to pull out heat, weld smoke and process fumes. North Karnataka, around Ballari, Kalaburagi and Hubli, is hot and dry, and that is where evaporative air coolers actually work well, because dry air still has room to absorb moisture and drop the temperature several degrees. Coastal Mangaluru is hot, humid and salty, so coolers do little there and we lead with HVLS plus exhaust, using FRP corrosion-proof exhaust that will survive the salt air.
The industry mix is huge and each cluster needs a different answer. KIADB runs more than 180 industrial areas across 30 districts, and they hold a remarkable spread of industries. Bengaluru anchors electronics and EMS, machine tools, and aerospace and defence with HAL and BEL, across Peenya (one of Asia's largest industrial estates), Bommasandra and Whitefield. Around it, Devanahalli's KIADB Aerospace Park has pulled in Boeing, Wistron and the Foxconn-ecosystem electronics, while Tumakuru, Dobaspet and Hosakote have become satellite auto-component, engineering and food-park nodes. Then Mysuru with auto, FMCG and garments; Hubballi-Dharwad with steel fabrication, electrical machinery and cotton textiles; Belagavi with foundries, castings and an aerospace SEZ; Ballari with JSW Steel, iron-ore mining and denim; Mangaluru with MRPL refining, BASF chemicals and seafood processing; and Kalaburagi with cement, dal and pulses milling plus an emerging mega textile park. Each one needs a different mix of HVLS, industrial exhaust, FRP exhaust and coolers.
This page is the hub. Below we break down each major Karnataka hub, why it needs ventilation, and which Aruth system fits, then link you down to the city and cluster pages for detail. We are based in Ahmedabad, but we supply and install all over India, and Karnataka is one of our core states. Wherever you are, from Peenya to Ballari to the Mangaluru coast, the first step is the same: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

Bengaluru (Peenya, Bommasandra & Whitefield)
Electronics & EMS, machine tools, aerospace & defence (HAL, BEL)Karnataka's largest manufacturing base, with Peenya (one of Asia's biggest industrial estates), Bommasandra and Whitefield holding machine-tool shops, electronics and EMS plants, and the aerospace and defence works of HAL and BEL. The climate is mild, so the issue is mostly hot, still air and trapped fumes under high truss roofs, which means HVLS fans over the open floor plus industrial exhaust for weld, solder and finishing areas rather than heavy cooling.
How to choose: HVLS vs exhaust vs coolers for a Karnataka factory
The short answer: HVLS fans for general comfort cooling over large open floors, exhaust fans to physically remove heat, fumes, dust or humidity, and air coolers where the climate is hot and dry enough for them to work. Most Karnataka plants we fit end up with a combination, because the loads stack. A Belagavi foundry, for example, needs high-capacity exhaust to clear furnace heat AND HVLS over the cooler machining bays to keep that area comfortable.
The big difference in Karnataka compared to most states is the climate split, and it changes the answer city by city. On the Bengaluru plateau and across the south the weather is mild year-round, so cooling is secondary: the real job is moving air and extracting heat and fumes, which means HVLS plus exhaust lead and coolers rarely earn their place. In hot, dry North Karnataka, around Ballari, Kalaburagi and Hubli, evaporative air coolers do work well, because dry air can absorb moisture and drop the temperature several degrees, so coolers can sit alongside HVLS for spot relief. On the hot, humid Mangaluru coast, coolers do very little, salt corrodes ordinary fans fast, and the answer is HVLS plus FRP corrosion-proof exhaust. If the problem is hot, still air over a big shed, a Peenya machine-tool floor, a Mysuru garment unit, a Devanahalli EMS hall, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler. If the problem is something you need to physically get out of the building, furnace heat in a Belagavi foundry or Ballari steel bay, weld smoke in a Hubballi fabrication shop, chemical and salt air in Mangaluru, you need exhaust, and in corrosive or coastal air that means FRP exhaust fans that will not rust out in a year.
Why Karnataka factories switch to gearless HVLS
The number that moves Karnataka plant owners is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power consumption, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. On the Bengaluru plateau, where the climate is mild, the savings come less from beating extreme heat and more from replacing a wall of inefficient fans with one quiet, low-draw HVLS unit that covers the whole floor.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance, there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up in dusty foundry, fabrication or textile air. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths gets straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey: floor area, roof height, headcount and your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.
Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Karnataka
We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Karnataka plant: factory pricing, custom sizes fabricated in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and Karnataka is one of our core states, so this is routine work for our team, not an out-of-area exception.
We supply and install all over Karnataka, from Bengaluru, Peenya, Bommasandra, Whitefield and Devanahalli to Mysuru, Tumakuru, Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi, Ballari, Kalaburagi and the Mangaluru coast, including the KIADB and KSSIDC estates in between. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor, measuring your area, roof height and heat, fume, dust or humidity load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single machine-tool unit in Peenya or a multi-bay foundry in Belagavi, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.
From the field
Verified installCase study: a Peenya machine-tool plant cuts fan power and clears its weld bays
Before — the problem
A machine-tool and fabrication unit in the Peenya industrial estate in Bengaluru called us with a problem we see all over Karnataka's plateau belt. Their 24,000 sq.ft high-bay shed was not extreme-hot, Bengaluru rarely is, but by mid-afternoon the air went hot and dead under the truss, and the welding sub-section filled with smoke that just hung there. A long row of pedestal and wall fans pushed stale, smoky air around at head height while drawing a steady power load through the whole working day.
What Aruth installed
We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 8.5 m, and mapped where the weld smoke was collecting over the fabrication line. Our recommendation was a combination: three 6.1 m HVLS fans over the open machine-tool and assembly floor to create a steady whole-floor breeze, plus three industrial wall exhaust fans, sized around 30,000 CFM total, on the weld-bay wall to physically pull the heat and welding smoke out instead of letting it sit under the roof.
The result
After installation the floor felt fresh and even instead of hot and stagnant, the welding haze cleared, and because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors the plant replaced roughly 16 pedestal and wall fans with far lower running cost. With Bengaluru's long working hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
