Mysuru runs some of Karnataka's largest greenfield factory sheds, and they need air moved well. The capital-intensive auto, FMCG and food plants here, the ones at Nanjangud and across the city, run big high-roof floors with steady process heat all day. Mysuru's weather sits on the south Karnataka plateau, so it is mild for most of the year, not the harsh dry heat of Ballari or the salty humidity of the coast. That mild climate changes what works: here the job is mostly moving air across large floors and pulling process heat, fumes and humidity out, rather than heavy cooling. We have walked floors exactly like these, and the fix is matched to that exact load.
The mix of industry in Mysuru is what makes the ventilation interesting. You have automobiles and auto components, FMCG and consumer goods, textiles and garments, food processing, electronics in the L&T SEZ, and a strong printing trade. An FMCG or food-processing floor needs process fumes, steam and humidity physically extracted while the packing hall stays comfortable. A garment or printing floor needs clean, even airflow with solvent and ink vapour pulled out. A welding or machining bay in an auto-component shed needs heat and smoke taken out of the building. One layout does not cover all of that, so we size each shed on its own.
On climate, an honest word, because it matters for what we recommend in Mysuru. Mysuru is on the mild south Karnataka plateau, much like Bengaluru, so it is not a town where an evaporative cooler does most of the work the way it would in hot, dry North Karnataka like Ballari or Kalaburagi. Here we lead with HVLS fans to move air across the whole floor and exhaust fans to extract process heat, fumes and humidity. Air coolers still earn their place for spot relief in packing and worker zones, but in Mysuru they are the supporting act, not the main answer.
This page covers Mysuru in detail: the Nanjangud, Hebbal and Hootagalli estates, why these factories need ventilation, and which Aruth system fits which problem. We are an Ahmedabad manufacturer, but we install across the whole of Karnataka, and Mysuru is regular work for us, not an out-of-area trip. Wherever your shed sits in the Mysuru belt, the first step is the same: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

Nanjangud Industrial Area
FMCG, automobiles, food processing & textilesNanjangud, the KIADB area just south of Mysuru, is the heavy end of this belt, with large FMCG, automobile, food-processing and textile plants running big high-roof sheds. The FMCG and food floors carry process heat, steam and humidity while auto-component bays add machine and weld heat, so most units here run 6.1 m or 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open floor together with industrial exhaust to pull steam, fumes and humidity out, plus air coolers for the packing and worker zones.
How to choose: HVLS vs exhaust vs coolers for a Mysuru factory
The short answer for Mysuru: HVLS fans for general comfort over large open floors, exhaust fans to physically remove process heat, steam, humidity and fumes, and air coolers only for spot-cooling people at packing and worker zones. Most Mysuru plants we fit end up with a combination, because the loads stack. A food-processing line at Nanjangud, for example, needs exhaust to clear steam and process humidity AND HVLS to keep the packing and assembly floor comfortable.
The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If the problem is hot, still air over a big shed, an auto-assembly bay, an electronics or printing floor, a finished-goods store, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler at skin level. If the problem is something you need to physically get out of the building, food steam, process humidity, weld smoke, ink and solvent vapour, you need exhaust. Because Mysuru sits on the mild plateau, we do not push evaporative coolers as the main answer; we keep them for targeted relief where a few people work in one spot. In hot, dry North Karnataka such as Ballari, coolers would do far more, but Mysuru's climate is different.
Why Mysuru factories switch to gearless HVLS
The number that moves Mysuru plant owners is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power consumption, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. Mysuru's big greenfield auto, FMCG and food sheds run long shift hours, so that payback tends to come through on the steady, dependable end.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance: there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up in dusty shop air, which matters on a food, FMCG or electronics floor where cleanliness counts. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths gets straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey: floor area, roof height, headcount and your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.
Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Mysuru and Karnataka
We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Mysuru plant: factory pricing, custom sizes fabricated in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015. We will be straight with you: we are not a same-city Mysuru workshop. We are an Ahmedabad maker that installs across Karnataka through our own team, and Mysuru is routine work for us.
We supply and install all over Mysuru and the wider Karnataka belt, from the Nanjangud KIADB area to the Hebbal and Hootagalli estates and the L&T SEZ. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor, measuring your area, roof height and heat, fume and humidity load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single component shed or a multi-block FMCG plant, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.
From the field
Verified installCase study: a Nanjangud FMCG and food plant clears steam and cools its packing floor
Before — the problem
An FMCG and food-processing plant in the Nanjangud KIADB area, packing consumer goods for the south India market, called us with a problem we see right across this belt. Their 26,000 sq.ft high-roof shed ran process heat and steam off the cooking and filling lines, and by mid-shift the packing and assembly floor was warm and sticky with trapped humidity. A row of pedestal fans just pushed damp, warm air around at head height while drawing a steady power load all day.
What Aruth installed
We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 9 m, and mapped where the steam and process humidity were collecting under the roof over the filling lines. Our recommendation was a combination: three 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open packing and assembly floor to create a steady whole-floor breeze, plus four industrial wall exhaust fans, sized around 40,000 CFM total, on the process-bay wall to physically pull the steam and humid air out instead of letting it hang under the roof. We added two portable coolers for the manual packing bench, where a small group works in one spot.
The result
After installation the floor ran noticeably cooler and drier, the steam haze cleared, and because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors the plant replaced roughly 18 pedestal fans with far lower running cost, with fan-related power dropping sharply. On their shift hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
