Walk into a chemical unit near the Vadodara Petrochemical Complex on a June afternoon and you meet two problems at once: solvent fumes hanging over the reactor line, and a steel exhaust fan that has already corroded brown at the blade edges after one monsoon. A few kilometres away in a Makarpura engineering shed, it is a different fight, weld smoke pooling under a hot tin roof at 44°C, and twenty pedestal fans just pushing that hot air around. HVLS fans, FRP exhaust and the right cooling are not interchangeable here, and Vadodara's chemical and engineering mix needs all three, matched to the load.

Vadodara is one of Gujarat's two big chemical and heavy-engineering cities. Around the Petrochemical Complex you have Nandesari running chemicals, dyes and pharma intermediates, where the air is acidic and ordinary steel fans last months, not years. Makarpura is dense with engineering, auto-component and electrical units under hot sheds. Out at Savli and Manjusar you have the large plots, heavy engineering, power equipment, pharma and plastics, with big fabrication bays that a wall fan can never reach across.

The hot inland climate makes it worse. Vadodara sits away from the coast, so summer afternoons cross 43 to 44°C with little sea breeze, and inside a closed engineering shed that easily becomes 47 to 48°C under the trusses. Reactor and furnace heat add to it. This is exactly why so many Vadodara plants now run evaporative air coolers on their engineering shop floors alongside HVLS air movement, dry heat with no humidity is where evaporative cooling works best.

Being an Ahmedabad manufacturer, Vadodara is barely 110 km up the expressway for us, so our own engineers reach a Nandesari or Savli unit comfortably within a day, survey, supply, mount, wire and stay on for service. This page covers Vadodara's main estates, which Aruth system fits each load, and a real install we did here. The first step is always the same: a free on-site survey with an airflow calculation and a written quote, no obligation.

Nandesari is Vadodara's main chemical estate, packed with dye, bulk-drug and intermediate units where the air carries acid mist and solvent vapour that eats ordinary steel fans within a year. These plants need FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans, up to about 44,000 CFM, sized to keep reactor halls and plant rooms safely ventilated, with HVLS only over the cleaner packing and warehouse areas.

Which Aruth system solves which Vadodara problem

The short answer for Vadodara: FRP exhaust fans for the chemical and pharma fumes around Nandesari, HVLS fans for the big engineering bays in Makarpura and Savli, and evaporative air coolers for spot cooling people in the dry inland heat. Most plants we fit here end up with a combination, because a Savli engineering shop has reactor or furnace heat to extract AND a large open floor to keep comfortable AND workers who need targeted relief at the bench.

The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If it is acid mist or solvent vapour from a Nandesari chemical line, you need FRP corrosion-proof exhaust, ordinary steel will corrode within months. If it is hot, still air over a large Makarpura or Manjusar bay, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft on under 1.7 kW. And because Vadodara's heat is dry inland heat, not coastal humidity, evaporative air coolers genuinely drop the felt temperature at engineering workstations where people stand all shift.

Chemical, dye, pharma-intermediate fumes (Nandesari): FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM, built to survive acidic, solvent-laden air.
Large open engineering bays (Makarpura, Savli, Manjusar): HVLS fans 2.4 m to 7.3 m on roughly 0.4 to 1.7 kW, up to 30% lower bills than banks of conventional fans.
Weld smoke and concentrated process heat: industrial exhaust placed where the heat and fumes build up, paired with HVLS over the open floor.
Dry inland heat on engineering shop floors: evaporative air coolers and mist or man-cooler fans for targeted relief at benches and assembly lines.
Plastics and power-equipment shops: HVLS for comfort across the bay, exhaust to clear localised process heat.

Why Vadodara plants switch to gearless IE5 HVLS

The number that convinces Vadodara plant owners is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft on roughly 1.5 to 1.7 kW, replacing 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours.

Gearless also means almost no maintenance, there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up in dusty engineering air. With the 2-year warranty, the maths gets simple. During the free Vadodara survey we run the actual numbers for your shed, floor area, truss height, headcount, current fan count and tariff, and show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.

Free on-site survey in Vadodara, install across India

The survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced Aruth engineer on your Vadodara floor, measuring the bay, checking your heat, fume, dust or humidity load, and giving you a layout and a written quote. We do this whether you are in a crowded Makarpura unit or a standalone plant out at Manjusar, with no obligation to buy.

Although we manufacture in Ahmedabad, we supply and install all over India, so Vadodara is well within easy reach and we are not a dealer passing a brochure across the table. Because the fans are built at our own workshop at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, lead times are short, spares are on the shelf, and our own engineers handle the survey, installation and after-sales service. For Nandesari's FRP exhaust we fabricate the corrosion-proof impeller in-house to suit your actual fume load.

Case study, a Savli engineering shop beating 47°C bay heat

  1. Before — the problem

A heavy-engineering and fabrication unit in the Savli GIDC near Vadodara called us in peak summer. Their main bay was about 16,000 sq.ft with a tall truss, running cutting, welding and assembly, and by afternoon the floor was sitting at 46 to 47°C with weld smoke hanging under the roof. They had around 18 wall and pedestal fans going flat out, noisy and barely shifting the air where the fitters worked, and two men had walked off an afternoon shift in the heat.

  2. What Aruth installed

We surveyed the bay, ran the airflow numbers, and laid out two 7.3 m gearless IE5 HVLS fans to wash the whole floor with a steady 1.5 to 2 m/s breeze at working height, then added roof exhaust over the welding line to pull the smoke straight out instead of letting it pool. We also placed two evaporative coolers at the assembly benches where men stand all shift in the dry inland heat.

  3. The result

The result: floor-level temperature dropped a felt 4 to 5°C, the weld smoke cleared out near the line, and the noise came right down. The two HVLS fans together drew well under what the 18 old fans had been pulling, so on their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. Everything is covered by our 2-year warranty and serviced by our own team from Ahmedabad.
