Industrial Ventilation in Rajkot: HVLS Fans, Industrial Exhaust & Coolers for the Engineering and Foundry Belt
For Rajkot's engineering and foundry belt, the right setup is HVLS fans for industrial exhaust in machining and fabrication sheds, plus high-CFM and FRP exhaust to pull foundry heat, sand dust and fumes out. Aruth Ventilation Systems is an Ahmedabad manufacturer of IE5 gearless HVLS fans (2.4 m to 7.3 m), industrial and FRP exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM, and air coolers, and we supply and install all over India with a free on-site survey. We have completed 230+ installations and our IE5 fans cut fan-related power bills by up to 30%.
Rajkot is the engineering heart of Saurashtra, and its ventilation problem is unlike any textile city. Here the heat does not just come off the roof, it pours out of cupola furnaces, induction melting units, forging hammers and heat-treatment lines. We have stood inside Metoda and Aji foundries where the air shimmers near the pouring bay and a machinist 40 feet away is still sweating through his shirt. On top of that radiant heat sits sand dust from the moulding shop, fettling grinding dust, and oily smoke from quenching. Pedestal fans just stir that mix around.
The fix in Rajkot is almost always a combination, not a single product. Over a large fabrication or machining shed you need HVLS fans to move a steady, gentle breeze across the whole floor so workers stay comfortable on 1.5 to 2 kilowatts instead of 18 to 20 pedestal fans. Over the furnace, fettling and quench zones you need high-velocity exhaust, and where the air carries acidic fumes or moisture, FRP corrosion-proof exhaust, to physically pull the bad air out of the building.
We are a manufacturer based in Ahmedabad, about three and a half hours from Rajkot on the highway, and we install all over India. For a Rajkot foundry or machine-tool unit that means a free on-site survey, fans fabricated to your shed size in our own workshop, and one team accountable for the whole job, HVLS, exhaust and cooling together, rather than three different suppliers blaming each other.
Every Rajkot job starts with that free site survey. We measure your floor area, roof height, the heat load from your furnaces and machines, and the openings you already have, then tell you honestly whether you need HVLS fans, exhaust, evaporative coolers, or a mix of all three. No template quotes, no selling you fans you do not need.

Industrial areas we serve around Rajkot
We install across these estates and the units inside them, survey, supply, mounting, wiring and after-sales.
Aji GIDC
GIDCRajkot's largest engineering estate, packed with auto-parts units, casting shops, machine-tool builders and CNC machining. The mix of furnace and grinding heat under low tin roofs makes these sheds 4 to 6 degrees hotter than outside, so most Aji units pair HVLS fans over the machining floor with wall exhaust to clear casting fumes and dust.
Which product solves which Rajkot problem
In Rajkot the right answer depends on whether your problem is heat, fumes and dust, or spot cooling, and most foundry and engineering sheds have all three. HVLS fans handle the broad heat across the floor, industrial and FRP exhaust handle the furnace fumes and sand dust, and coolers handle the few hot spots where a man works close to a fixed source. We rarely sell just one of these into a Rajkot foundry, the combination is what makes the floor workable.
Over a 20,000 sq.ft machining or fabrication shed in Aji or Metoda, one 7.3 m HVLS fan moving a steady 1 to 2 m/s breeze makes the floor feel 3 to 5 degrees cooler and replaces 15 to 20 pedestal fans. Over the melting, pouring and fettling zones in the Bhichri and Shapar foundry belt, high-CFM industrial exhaust, and FRP where the air is acidic, is the only real fix because it physically removes the smoke, sand dust and fumes instead of pushing them around.
Recommended mix for Rajkot's industries
For a Rajkot foundry or forging shop, we recommend high-CFM and FRP exhaust over the furnace and fettling zones as the priority, with HVLS fans over the rest of the open floor. The exhaust deals with the immediate hazard, the smoke, sand dust and fumes that workers breathe, while the HVLS fans deal with the comfort of the whole shed. Coolers come in only for the few fixed-position jobs near a furnace where a man cannot move away.
For machine-tool, auto-component, bearings and submersible-pump units, where the heat is more from machines and roof than from open furnaces, the balance shifts the other way: HVLS fans do most of the work, with exhaust used mainly to clear grinding dust, welding fumes and trapped roof heat. Diesel-engine assembly sheds, with their long open lines, are exactly where large 6.1 m and 7.3 m HVLS fans earn their keep, cooling the whole line on a couple of kilowatts.
Why Rajkot factories choose Aruth
Rajkot units choose us because we are a manufacturer, not a reseller, so you get factory pricing, custom sizes built to your exact shed, and a single team accountable for HVLS, exhaust and cooling together. We make our HVLS fans on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, our exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM, and our FRP bodies in-house at our Ahmedabad workshop, so when a Metoda forging shop needs a non-standard impeller or a corrosion-proof body, we fabricate it rather than quoting a distributor's catalogue item.
We have completed 230+ installations and back every fan with a 2-year warranty. For a foundry that has been replacing rusted galvanised exhaust fans every season, a corrosion-proof FRP fan that lasts five years changes the maths completely. We already know the typical roof heights, furnace loads and dust conditions of the Aji, Metoda, Shapar-Veraval and Gondal-road estates, so our recommendations are grounded in real Saurashtra sheds, not a generic template.
Free site survey and installation across India
Every Rajkot project starts with a free on-site survey, and we install all over India, so distance from our Ahmedabad base is never a barrier. We come to your Rajkot unit, measure floor area, roof height, furnace and machine heat load, and the openings you already have, then give you honest sizing: how many HVLS fans, how much exhaust CFM, and where coolers actually help.
Because we manufacture in-house, once the survey and sizing are agreed we fabricate to your shed size and send our own installation team to Rajkot. You deal with one company from survey to installation to after-sales, including AMC and blade balancing, rather than juggling a fan dealer, an exhaust supplier and a local fitter. From the field
Verified installCase study: a Metoda forging and machining unit clears furnace heat and forging smoke
Before — the problem
A forging and machining unit in Metoda GIDC came to us with a classic Rajkot problem: a 24,000 sq.ft shed where a heat-treatment line and forging hammers pushed roof-level temperatures past 48 degrees by noon, forging smoke and scale dust hung over the floor, and their old galvanised exhaust fans had rusted through in two seasons because of the hot, fume-heavy air. Workers near the machining bay 40 feet from the furnace were still struggling in the heat that drifted across.
What Aruth installed
We ran a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 9 m, and mapped where the heat and smoke were collecting. Our recommendation was a combination: three 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open machining and fabrication floor to create a steady breeze and push the trapped roof heat down and out, plus five industrial exhaust fans, sized around 42,000 CFM total with FRP bodies on the heat-treatment wall, to physically pull the forging smoke, scale dust and furnace heat out of the bay.
The result
After installation the machining floor ran 4 to 5 degrees cooler, the smoke haze over the line cleared, and because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors the unit replaced roughly 18 pedestal fans with far lower running cost, with fan-related power dropping sharply. The FRP exhaust bodies do not corrode, so instead of a yearly replacement they are covered by our 2-year warranty. Even from our Ahmedabad base, our team handled survey, fabrication and installation for the Rajkot unit start to finish.
