The right ventilation in Halol depends on what your shed actually makes. HVLS fans, exhaust fans and air coolers solve very different problems, and Halol's two big industries, automobiles and pharma, need a careful mix of all of them. We have walked enough Halol GIDC floors to know that a fan that suits an MG Motor assembly bay does little for a Sun Pharma granulation block, and vice versa.

Halol sits about 45 km from Vadodara, a fast-growing auto and pharma node in Panchmahal district. The town built its reputation on vehicle manufacturing, with MG Motor's plant anchoring a whole web of auto-component suppliers, and on pharmaceuticals, with Sun Pharma's large formulation site. Around them sit engineering and fabrication units feeding both. That mix means the air inside these factories carries paint solvent fumes, weld smoke, process heat from ovens and reactors, and plain hot still air over big assembly floors.

Vehicle assembly halls and paint shops throw off heat and solvent fumes that need targeted exhaust, while the long open assembly and body-shop bays need HVLS air movement to keep operators comfortable. Pharma blocks have their own rules: clean process areas, washing and granulation zones that generate heat and humidity, and utility and boiler rooms that need steady extraction. Getting this right is not about selling one product, it is about matching each zone to the correct fan.

Being an Ahmedabad manufacturer roughly 150 km away, we reach Halol comfortably within a day, design the layout, supply, mount and wire the fans, then stay on for service. The first step is always the same and always free: an engineer on your Halol floor, measuring the heat, fume and dust load, then a written quote with the airflow worked out and the payback in months.

Halol GIDC

Automobiles, auto components, pharma, engineering
1/1

Halol GIDC is the town's industrial backbone, home to MG Motor's vehicle plant, Sun Pharma's formulation site, dozens of auto-component and engineering suppliers, and pharma support units. Its problems split clearly: assembly and body-shop bays need HVLS to move hot still air over operators, paint shops and component lines need exhaust to pull out solvent fumes and weld smoke, and pharma washing, granulation and boiler areas need targeted extraction. We mix HVLS, exhaust and FRP exhaust unit by unit to suit each one.

Which fan solves which Halol problem: auto and pharma

The short answer for Halol: HVLS fans for the big open assembly and body-shop floors, exhaust fans to physically pull out paint fumes, weld smoke and process heat, FRP exhaust where pharma or plating chemicals attack ordinary steel, and air coolers for spot relief at QC and packing stations. Almost every Halol auto or pharma plant we fit ends up with a combination, because the loads stack inside one building.

In an auto plant, the deciding factor is the zone. A trim or final-assembly bay is hot, open and low-fume, so one 7.3 m gearless HVLS fan washes up to about 20,000 sq.ft with a steady 1 to 2 m/s breeze on under 1.7 kW, replacing 15 to 20 wall fans. A paint shop or a welding line is different: there you must get solvent vapour and smoke out of the building, so high-capacity exhaust does the work, with HVLS kept away from the spray zone. In a pharma block, washing and granulation areas need exhaust to clear heat and humidity, utility and boiler rooms need steady extraction, and where wash-down chemicals or fumes are corrosive, FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM are the only fans that survive.

Auto assembly, body shop, trim lines (hot, open, low-fume): HVLS fans 2.4 m to 7.3 m, about 0.4 to 1.7 kW, up to 30% lower bills than banks of wall fans.
Paint shops and welding lines (solvent fumes, weld smoke): high-capacity exhaust fans to evacuate the air, HVLS away from the spray zone.
Pharma granulation, washing and utility blocks (heat, humidity, fumes): exhaust for extraction, FRP exhaust where wash-down chemicals are corrosive.
Component and engineering units (grinding, machining heat and dust): exhaust to clear the air, HVLS over open machining bays.
QC, packing and loading bays (people relief): portable air coolers and man-cooler fans.

Why Halol factories switch to gearless HVLS

The number that moves Halol plant managers is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft on roughly 1.5 to 1.7 kW, replacing 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that draw far more and cool far less. Across our installs that is up to 30% lower fan-related power consumption, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. For a multi-shift auto plant in Halol, that payback comes faster.

Gearless also means almost no maintenance, with no gearbox to leak oil onto a painted body or a pharma clean area, and nothing to seize in dusty GIDC air. Add the 2-year warranty and the case is straightforward. During the free survey we run your actual numbers: floor area, truss height, headcount, your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback before you commit to anything.

Free site survey and install across India

Yes, the Halol site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful. An Aruth engineer comes to your factory in Halol GIDC, measures the floor area and truss height, checks your heat, fume, dust and humidity load zone by zone, and gives you a recommended layout and a written quote with no obligation to buy. Because we manufacture in Satellite, Ahmedabad, roughly 150 km away, we reach Halol within a day and keep spares on the shelf.

We supply and install all over India, not just Gujarat. Our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handle the Halol survey, the install and the after-sales service, so you deal with the people who built the fan. For Halol auto and pharma plants that run continuous shifts, we schedule installs around your production so the line never stops longer than it must.

Case study: a Halol GIDC auto-component plant beating assembly-bay heat

  1. Before — the problem

An auto-component supplier in Halol GIDC, feeding the local vehicle plants, called us at the start of summer. Their main assembly and sub-assembly bay ran about 19,000 sq.ft under a medium truss, and by afternoon the floor was sitting near 43 to 44 degrees Celsius. They had 24 wall and pedestal fans running flat out, noisy, kicking up grinding dust, and barely moving air where the line operators stood. Two stations were losing output in the heat and absenteeism was creeping up on the second shift.

  2. What Aruth installed

We surveyed the bay, ran the airflow numbers and replaced all 24 fans with three 6.1 m gearless HVLS fans laid out to wash the whole floor with a steady 1.5 to 2 m/s breeze at operator height. The total connected load for the three fans came in well under what the 24 fans had been drawing. For their separate paint and touch-up line, we specified a high-capacity exhaust bank to pull solvent fumes straight out of the building.

  3. The result

The result: floor-level temperature dropped a felt 4 to 5 degrees Celsius, the grinding dust stirred up by the old fans settled, and the noise came right down. On their two-shift running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone, before counting the steadier output and lower absenteeism. All three HVLS fans carry our 2-year warranty and are serviced by our own Ahmedabad team.
