FRP Exhaust, HVLS & Cooling, Bharuch & Dahej PCPIR

FRP Exhaust Fans & HVLS Ventilation for Dahej PCPIR & Bharuch Chemical Plants

For Dahej PCPIR and Bharuch plants, the right answer is almost always FRP exhaust fans plus HVLS, because the corrosive vapours from petrochemical and specialty chemical processing destroy ordinary steel fans while the huge process sheds need high-volume air movement in a hot, humid coastal zone. We are Aruth Ventilation Systems, an Ahmedabad manufacturer of FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans up to about 44,000 CFM and gearless IE5 PMSM HVLS fans up to 7.3 m, and we install across the Dahej PCPIR, GIDC, and Vagra-Bharuch belt with a free on-site survey, 230+ installations behind us and up to 30% lower fan power bills. Walk into a specialty chemical block in the Dahej PCPIR on a June afternoon and you understand the problem in thirty seconds: reactor heat radiating off the vessels, a faint acid bite in the air near the scrubber line, and the heavy, sticky coastal humidity off the Gulf of Khambhat sitting on everything. Two units down, a bulk chemical shed has galvanised exhaust fans that have already rusted at the blade edges after barely a year. This is not the dry heat of inland Gujarat. Dahej and Bharuch combine process heat, corrosive vapour and salt-laden coastal moisture, and that combination eats ordinary ventilation alive.

Dahej is no ordinary industrial area. The PCPIR (Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region) is one of India's largest chemical and petrochemical investment zones, home to petrochemical complexes, bulk and specialty chemical makers, fertilizer plants, an LNG terminal and power units. A large share of India's specialty chemicals comes from this belt, some of it specialty grades that feed semiconductor manufacturing supply chains, where corrosion control and air quality inside the plant are not optional. The sheds are large-volume, the process loads are heavy, and the vapours are aggressive, so the ventilation has to be engineered, not bought off a shelf.

We have spent years on chemical and pharma floors exactly like these, and the lesson is consistent: in a place like Dahej PCPIR you lead with FRP corrosion-proof exhaust to physically pull out the heat, fumes and humidity at the source, then add HVLS fans over the larger open bays and packing areas to keep the floor workable on low power. Mild-steel exhaust in this belt is a false economy, you replace it every year or two as the acid and salt corrode it through.

Aruth Ventilation manufactures all of this at our own workshop in Satellite, Ahmedabad, and installs across the Dahej PCPIR, Dahej GIDC and the Bharuch and Vagra GIDC areas, with onward service all over India. We have completed 230+ installations, our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors that cut fan-related power by up to 30%, and every fan carries a 2-year warranty. If you run a plant anywhere around Bharuch or Dahej, a free site survey is the fastest way to get an honest layout and a number that fits your shed.

One of India's largest petrochemical and chemical investment regions, packed with petrochemical complexes, bulk and specialty chemical plants, fertilizer units and the LNG terminal. The combination of heavy reactor and process heat, aggressive acid and solvent vapours, and coastal salt humidity corrodes ordinary steel fans fast, so almost every unit here needs FRP corrosion-proof exhaust at the source plus HVLS over the larger process and packing sheds.

Which product solves which Bharuch / Dahej problem

The short answer for Bharuch and Dahej: FRP exhaust fans for the corrosive chemical and process areas, HVLS fans for the large open sheds and packing bays, and air coolers for spot relief at fixed workstations. Because Dahej PCPIR stacks process heat, corrosive vapour and coastal humidity together, most plants we fit end up with a combination rather than a single product, the FRP exhaust does the heavy lifting on safety and corrosion while HVLS keeps the floor comfortable on low power.

The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If you have acid mist, solvent vapour, ammonia from fertilizer handling or scrubber off-gas, you need FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) exhaust that will not corrode, sized to the air-change rate the process demands and positioned to extract at the source. If the problem is hot, still air over a big open bay, a warehouse, a packing hall, an engineering shed in Vagra, HVLS is the cheaper, more effective answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan covers up to around 20,000 sq.ft on under 1.7 kW. Where individual operators work in a fixed hot spot, you add a portable or industrial air cooler rather than over-cooling the whole building.

Corrosive chemical & petrochemical process areas (Dahej PCPIR reactor halls, scrubber lines, plating, pickling): FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans up to ~44,000 CFM, sized to the air-change rate.
Specialty & bulk chemical sheds with acid/solvent vapour: FRP exhaust at the source plus HVLS over the open floor for comfort.
Fertilizer & LNG/power units: heavy-duty and FRP exhaust to clear ammonia, dust and process heat, with HVLS over storage and handling bays.
Pharma blocks: controlled, clean airflow, FRP or industrial exhaust paired with HVLS to hold temperature without raising dust.
Large open packing, warehousing & engineering sheds (Vagra GIDC): 6.1 m and 7.3 m HVLS fans for even, low-cost cooling.
Fixed hot workstations (QC, dispatch, control points): industrial and portable air coolers for targeted relief.

Why FRP exhaust is non-negotiable in the Dahej coastal chemical zone

FRP exhaust is non-negotiable in Dahej and Bharuch because the air here corrodes mild-steel fans from the inside out, usually within 12 to 24 months. Three things attack the metal at once: acid and solvent vapours from chemical and petrochemical processing, ammonia and dust from fertilizer handling, and salt-laden moisture blowing in off the Gulf of Khambhat coast. A galvanised or painted-steel exhaust fan that lasts five years inland will pit, rust and fail far faster in this environment.

Our FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) exhaust fans are built for exactly this. The impeller and housing are moulded from corrosion-resistant FRP, so dye, acid, solvent, ammonia and salt air simply do not eat them the way they eat steel. We size them up to around 44,000 CFM per unit, calculate the air-change rate your process needs, and lay out wall and roof exhaust so fresh air enters where people stand and the hot, fume-laden air is pulled out near the source. That keeps reactor halls, scrubber rooms and process floors both safe to breathe in and workable in summer.

Why Aruth, manufacturer not dealer

We are a manufacturer, not a dealer, which matters more in a demanding belt like Dahej PCPIR than almost anywhere else. Our workshop at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015 builds the FRP exhaust fans and HVLS fans ourselves, so we can fabricate the right FRP size for your scrubber duty or reactor hall, hold spares, and send our own engineers for survey, install and after-sales rather than handing you a brochure and a phone number.

For Bharuch and Dahej plants this means real accountability and honest sizing. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors that cut fan-related power by up to 30% and need almost no maintenance, there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your product or seize up in dusty, humid air. Every fan, FRP exhaust and HVLS alike, carries a 2-year warranty, and we back it with 230+ installations across Gujarat and beyond. We never cut corners and never compromise on the corrosion spec, because in this zone the wrong fan is back on your reorder list within a year.

Free on-site survey and installation across India

Every Bharuch and Dahej job starts with a genuinely free on-site survey, no obligation to buy. An experienced Aruth engineer comes to your plant, measures the floor area, roof height and existing openings, checks your specific heat, fume, dust and humidity load, and tells you honestly whether you need FRP exhaust, HVLS, air coolers or a mix. For a chemical or petrochemical unit we map where the corrosive vapour concentrates and where the operators stand, then design extraction at the source and comfort airflow over the floor.

We supply and install all over India, so a Dahej PCPIR plant is handled the same way as any other site: we design the layout, supply, mount, wire, and then stay on for service. After the survey you get a written quote with the recommended fan mix, sizing, the kW saved and the expected payback, before you commit to anything. Case study: a Dahej PCPIR specialty chemical unit ends the yearly exhaust-fan replacement

  1. Before — the problem

A specialty chemical unit inside the Dahej PCPIR called us with two recurring headaches. Their main process shed, around 24,000 sq.ft housing reactors, a scrubber line and a packing area, was running hot and heavy with acid and solvent vapour, and the floor sat several degrees above the already humid coastal outdoor air. Worse, they were on their third set of mild-steel wall exhaust fans in four years, because the corrosive vapour and salt-laden coastal moisture kept rusting the blades and housings through.

  2. What Aruth installed

We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 9 m, and mapped where the vapour was collecting near the reactor and scrubber line versus where the packing crew actually worked. Our recommendation split the building by job. Over the scrubber and reactor zone we installed a bank of FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans, sized to the air-change rate the process demanded and totalling well over 40,000 CFM, to pull the acid and solvent vapour out at the source instead of letting it drift across the floor.

Over the open packing and handling bay we put in two 7.3 m gearless HVLS fans on IE5 PMSM motors, replacing roughly 16 pedestal and wall fans that had been struggling against the heat. The floor-level temperature dropped a felt 4 to 5°C, the vapour haze near the packing area cleared, and fan-related power fell sharply because the two HVLS fans together draw a fraction of what the old fan bank pulled.

  3. The result

The owner's two headline wins: a process floor that is genuinely safer and more comfortable to work on, and FRP exhaust fans he is not going to be ripping out and replacing every eighteen months. The whole package, FRP exhaust and HVLS, is covered by our 2-year warranty and serviced by our own team.
