HVLS, Exhaust & Cooling, Tiruchirappalli (Trichy)

HVLS Fans, Industrial Exhaust & Air Coolers for Trichy's Boiler, Heavy Fabrication & Engineering Plants

We are Aruth Ventilation Systems, and we supply and install HVLS exhaust fans air coolers Trichy factories rely on, from the boiler and heavy fabrication sheds around BHEL to the engineering and auto-component units in SIDCO Thuvakudi. Trichy plants share one hard problem: very tall sheds with heavy welding heat and fumes trapped under the roof, plus a hot climate that bakes the floor. That mix is made for gearless HVLS destratification, high-capacity industrial exhaust, and spot coolers at hot stations. Our HVLS fans run IE5 PMSM motors that cut fan power by up to 30%, every fan carries a 2-year warranty, and we are an Ahmedabad manufacturer whose own engineers travel in for a free on-site survey across Tamil Nadu. Walk into a heavy fabrication or boiler-component shed near BHEL in Trichy on a June afternoon and you feel the problem straight away. The roof sits 12 to 15 metres up, the welding and cutting stations throw out serious heat and smoke all day, and all that hot, fume-laden air collects in a thick layer overhead while the men on the floor work in still, heavy heat. A row of wall fans just pushes that haze around at head height. It never gets the heat or the smoke out of the building.

We have spent years on factory floors exactly like these, and Trichy's heavy fabrication belt is one of the clearest cases for the right combination. Tall sheds with a hot layer trapped under the roof are textbook HVLS destratification: a large gearless fan slowly pushes that overhead heat back down and mixes the whole volume, so the floor feels cooler without you running twenty wall fans. Then high-capacity industrial exhaust physically pulls the welding smoke and shed heat out near the source, instead of letting it hang.

Trichy's industries are not all the same, though, and that changes the answer. Boiler, heavy fabrication and engineering work needs HVLS plus heavy welding-fume exhaust. Auto-component machine shops need steady, even airflow without raising dust. Leather units, where tanning and finishing chemicals attack ordinary steel, need FRP corrosion-proof exhaust that will not rust out in a year. Textile sheds run hot, humid and full of lint, so they need exhaust to clear the moisture and HVLS for comfort over the looms.

We are honest about how we serve Trichy. We are an Ahmedabad-based manufacturer, so we are not a same-city workshop here. Instead our own engineers travel in to Tiruchirappalli for a free on-site survey, and we handle supply, fabrication, installation and after-sales ourselves rather than handing you to a local dealer. With 230-plus installations across India and a 2-year warranty, the fastest first step for any Trichy shed is the free survey, where we measure your roof height, heat, fume and dust load and give you an honest layout and a written quote.

SIDCO Estate: Heavy fabrication, Engineering, Auto components
1/5

Trichy's main organised estate, just off the BHEL belt, packed with heavy fabrication, engineering and auto-component units in tall, open sheds. The fabrication and welding shops here are the classic case for HVLS destratification plus high-capacity exhaust to clear weld smoke and shed heat, while the machine and assembly bays take steady HVLS airflow that cools the floor without raising dust on precision work.

How to choose: HVLS vs exhaust vs coolers for a Trichy factory

The short answer: HVLS fans for general comfort and destratification over large open floors, industrial exhaust to physically remove welding heat, fumes and humidity, and air coolers for spot relief at hot workstations. Most Trichy plants we fit end up with a combination, because in a tall fabrication shed you need to both pull the trapped hot layer down AND get the weld smoke out of the building. One product alone never does both.

The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If the problem is a hot, still layer sitting under a tall roof, a boiler-fabrication bay near BHEL, a machine shop in SIDCO Thuvakudi, an auto-component assembly floor, HVLS is the answer. One 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and makes the floor feel 3 to 5 degrees cooler. If the problem is something you need to physically remove from the building, welding smoke on a fabrication line, chemical vapour in a leather unit, lint and steam in a textile shed, you need exhaust. And in the corrosive air of a tanning or dyeing unit, that means FRP exhaust fans that will not rust out.

Tall fabrication & boiler sheds (BHEL belt, SIDCO Thuvakudi): HVLS destratification 4.3 m to 7.3 m to pull the trapped hot layer down, up to 30% lower bills than banks of wall fans.
Welding & gas-cutting bays: high-capacity industrial exhaust, up to about 44,000 CFM per fan, to clear weld smoke and shed heat near the source.
Auto-component & machine shops: HVLS for steady, even airflow that cools without raising dust on precision lines.
Leather tanning, dyeing & finishing units: FRP corrosion-proof exhaust against tanning and finishing chemicals that destroy ordinary steel fans.
Textile & spinning sheds: exhaust to evacuate steam, humidity and lint, plus HVLS for comfort over the looms.
Targeted relief for people (QC lines, loading bays, hot stations): industrial and portable air coolers for spot cooling.

Why HVLS destratification fits Trichy's tall fabrication sheds

Trichy has more genuinely tall, heavy-welding sheds than most cities its size, and that is exactly the building where HVLS earns its place. In a boiler-component or heavy-fabrication shed with a 12 to 15 metre roof, the hot air and weld haze rise and stack in a thick layer overhead, while the floor stays still and heavy. A large gearless HVLS fan turns slowly and pushes that overhead heat back down, mixing the whole volume so the floor temperature evens out and the operators feel a real, steady breeze.

This is destratification, and it is why one HVLS fan replaces fifteen to twenty wall or pedestal fans that only stir air at head height. A single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft. Run alongside heavy-duty exhaust that pulls the weld smoke out, the combination keeps a Trichy fabrication floor workable through the hottest part of the year, which a row of wall fans simply cannot do in a shed that tall.

Why Trichy factories switch to gearless HVLS

The number that moves Trichy plant owners is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power consumption, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. In Trichy's long hot season, where sheds run cooling hours most of the year, that payback comes faster.

Gearless also means almost no maintenance. There is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up in dusty fabrication air. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths is straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey: floor area, roof height, headcount, your current fan count and your tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.

Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Trichy and Tamil Nadu

We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Trichy plant: factory pricing, custom sizes fabricated in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and we supply and install all over India, including across Tamil Nadu.

We are straight about being an out-of-state manufacturer. We are not a same-city workshop in Trichy. What we do instead is send our own engineers in for the free on-site survey, then handle supply, fabrication, installation and AMC ourselves, so you deal with one team end to end rather than a local middleman. Whether you are a single auto-component shed in SIDCO Thuvakudi or a multi-bay fabrication plant on the BHEL belt, the free survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor, measuring your area, roof height and heat, fume and dust load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote.

Case study: a SIDCO Thuvakudi fabrication unit cools its welding floor

  1. Before — the problem

A heavy-fabrication unit in SIDCO Industrial Estate, Thuvakudi, feeding fabricated assemblies to the boiler and engineering plants on the BHEL belt, called us with a problem we see all over Trichy's fabrication belt. Their 24,000 sq.ft shed ran a 13 metre roof, multiple welding and gas-cutting stations, and Trichy summer heat together. By mid-morning the welding haze hung under the roof and the floor was heavy and hot. A long row of wall fans just moved the smoky air around at head height while drawing power all day.

  2. What Aruth installed

We did a free on-site survey, measured the roof height, and mapped where the weld smoke was collecting over the cutting and fixture lines. Our recommendation was a combination: three 7.3 m gearless HVLS fans over the open fabrication floor to pull the trapped hot layer down and wash the whole floor with a steady breeze, plus four heavy-duty industrial wall exhaust fans, sized around 40,000 CFM total, on the welding-bay wall to physically pull the smoke and shed heat out instead of letting it hang.

  3. The result

After installation the floor ran noticeably cooler, the welding haze cleared, and because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors the unit replaced roughly 18 wall fans with far lower running cost, with fan-related power dropping sharply. On their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
