Hosur is one of Tamil Nadu's busiest engineering belts, sitting right on the Bengaluru border, and its factories run hot. The two-wheeler and auto plants here, TVS, Ashok Leyland and the hundreds of component shops feeding them, push out heavy machine and process heat all day. Add a Hosur summer that climbs into the high 30s with the humidity that comes off this part of Tamil Nadu, and a high-bay assembly shed with a long row of pedestal fans simply bakes by mid-morning. We have walked floors exactly like these, and the fix is rarely one product. It is the right product for that exact heat, fume or dust load.
The mix of work in Hosur is what makes the ventilation interesting. You have heavy vehicle and two-wheeler assembly, precision watch-making at Titan, electronics, aerospace MRO work tied to Rolls-Royce, and a wide spread of engineering and export units. A watch or electronics floor needs clean, even, low-dust airflow. A welding and press shop needs heat and smoke physically pulled out of the building. A paint line needs solvent vapour evacuated. One layout does not cover all of that, so we size each shed on its own.
On climate, a quick honest word, because it matters for what we recommend. Hosur is not a dry north-Indian town where an evaporative cooler does most of the work. This part of Tamil Nadu carries enough humidity that coolers give limited relief, so we lead with HVLS fans to move air across the whole floor and exhaust fans to extract heat and fumes. Air coolers still earn their place for spot cooling in packing areas and tool rooms, but they are the supporting act here, not the main answer.
This page covers Hosur in detail: the SIPCOT estate, why these factories need ventilation, and which Aruth system fits which problem. We are an Ahmedabad manufacturer, but we install across the whole of Tamil Nadu, and Hosur is regular work for us, not an out-of-area trip. Wherever your shed sits in the Hosur belt, the first step is the same: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

Hosur SIPCOT Industrial Park
Automobiles, two-wheelers, auto components, watches & engineeringHosur SIPCOT is the heart of this belt, packed with two-wheeler and vehicle assembly, auto-component sheds, Titan's watch units and a wide spread of engineering and export plants. The big assembly bays trap machine and radiant roof heat under high roofs while weld and paint lines fill the air with smoke and solvent vapour, so most units here run 6.1 m or 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open floor together with industrial exhaust to pull the fumes out, plus air coolers for the packing and tool-room corners.
How to choose: HVLS vs exhaust vs coolers for a Hosur factory
The short answer for Hosur: HVLS fans for general comfort over large open floors, exhaust fans to physically remove heat, weld smoke and paint solvent, and air coolers only for spot-cooling people at packing and tool-room workstations. Most Hosur plants we fit end up with a combination, because the loads stack. A two-wheeler line in SIPCOT, for example, needs exhaust to clear weld and paint fumes AND HVLS to keep the assembly floor workable.
The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If the problem is hot, still air over a big shed, an assembly bay, a watch or electronics floor, a finished-goods store, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler at skin level. If the problem is something you need to physically get out of the building, weld smoke, paint solvent, process heat off machines, you need exhaust. We do not push evaporative coolers as the main answer in Hosur, because the humidity here limits how much they help; we keep them for targeted relief where a few people work in one spot.
Why Hosur factories switch to gearless HVLS
The number that moves Hosur plant owners is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power consumption, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. Because Hosur sheds run long cooling hours through a hot, sticky summer, that payback tends to come through on the faster end.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance: there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up in dusty shop air, which matters on a watch, electronics or precision-engineering floor where cleanliness counts. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths gets straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey: floor area, roof height, headcount and your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.
Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Hosur and Tamil Nadu
We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Hosur plant: factory pricing, custom sizes fabricated in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015. We will be straight with you: we are not a same-city Hosur workshop. We are an Ahmedabad maker that installs across Tamil Nadu through our own team, and Hosur is routine work for us.
We supply and install all over Hosur and the wider Tamil Nadu belt, from the SIPCOT estate to the units along the Bengaluru border. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor, measuring your area, roof height and heat, fume and dust load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single component shed or a multi-bay assembly plant, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.
From the field
Verified installCase study: a Hosur SIPCOT two-wheeler component plant cools its weld and assembly floor
Before — the problem
An auto-component supplier in Hosur SIPCOT, feeding welded and pressed parts to one of the two-wheeler majors on the Bengaluru-Hosur corridor, called us with a problem we see right across this belt. Their 24,000 sq.ft high-bay shed ran machine heat, radiant roof load and humid Hosur summer air together, and by mid-morning the welding and sub-assembly floor was hard to work on. A long row of pedestal fans just pushed warm, smoky air around at head height while drawing a steady power load all day.
What Aruth installed
We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 9 m, and mapped where the weld smoke was collecting over the fixture lines. Our recommendation was a combination: three 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open assembly floor to create a steady whole-floor breeze, plus four industrial wall exhaust fans, sized around 40,000 CFM total, on the weld-bay wall to physically pull the heat and welding smoke out instead of letting it hang under the roof. We added two portable coolers for the packing bench, where a few people work in one spot.
The result
After installation the floor ran noticeably cooler, the welding haze cleared, and because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors the plant replaced roughly 18 pedestal fans with far lower running cost, with fan-related power dropping sharply. On their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
