HVLS, Exhaust & Cooling, across Tirupur
HVLS Fans, Exhaust Fans & Air Coolers in Tirupur for Knitwear & Dyeing Units
We are Aruth Ventilation Systems, and we supply and install HVLS fans, exhaust fans and air coolers for Tirupur knitwear, dyeing and garment export units. Tirupur sewing halls, ironing lines and dyeing floors run hot, humid and lint-laden, so we lead with large gearless IE5 PMSM HVLS fans to move air over rows of machines, back them with industrial and FRP exhaust to clear steam, dye fumes and heat, and add air coolers for spot relief in summer. We are an Ahmedabad-based manufacturer with 230+ installs, up to 30% lower fan bills and a 2-year warranty, and we give you a free on-site survey anywhere in Tirupur. Tirupur is the knitwear capital of India, and that is exactly why ventilation here is its own problem. A single sewing hall can hold 200 to 500 machines packed tight, with operators sitting shoulder to shoulder, fluorescent heat overhead and lint floating off every needle. Add the coastal Tamil Nadu climate, which is hot and humid for most of the year, and the air on an un-ventilated knitwear floor by 11 am is heavy, sticky and tiring. We have stood on these floors, and the operators do not need a gimmick, they need air that actually moves.
The dyeing and bleaching side of Tirupur is a different load again. Dye houses and bleaching units run boilers, dye becks and drying ranges that throw off steam, heat and chemical fumes, and that moist, chemical-laden air corrodes ordinary galvanised steel fans within a year. For these floors we use FRP corrosion-proof exhaust to pull the steam and dye fumes straight out, because once humidity and chemical vapour are trapped under the roof, no amount of cooling at floor level fixes it.
Because Tirupur is humid and coastal, we are honest about air coolers. Evaporative coolers work best in dry heat, so in Tirupur's monsoon-season humidity their effect is limited. That said, sewing and ironing halls here genuinely run hot in the March to June summer, and a cooler placed for spot use over an ironing or checking line still gives real relief on the worst days. So the right Tirupur setup is usually HVLS for whole-floor air movement, plus exhaust to extract heat and humidity, with coolers as targeted summer support, not the main system.
We are based in Ahmedabad, but we supply and install all over India, and Tamil Nadu is regular work for our team, not an out-of-area exception. Whether you run a 300-machine knitwear unit, a dye house or a full apparel export factory in or around Tirupur, the first step is the same: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

Tirupur SIDCO Industrial Estates
Knitwear, garments, dyeing & apparel export (SIDCO / TANSIDCO)The TANSIDCO and SIDCO estates around Tirupur pack knitwear, garment, dyeing and apparel export units into tight, busy sheds where heat, humidity and lint build up fast over rows of sewing and ironing machines. Here we run large gearless HVLS fans to wash the whole floor with a steady breeze over the machine lines, back them with industrial exhaust to clear lint, steam and heat, and use FRP exhaust on the dyeing and bleaching floors where moist, chemical air would rust ordinary steel fans within a year.
How to choose: HVLS vs exhaust vs coolers for a Tirupur knitwear or dyeing unit
The short answer for Tirupur: HVLS fans to move air over rows of sewing and ironing machines, exhaust fans to physically pull out steam, dye fumes, lint and heat, and air coolers only for spot relief on the hottest summer days. Most knitwear and garment units we fit in Tirupur end up with HVLS plus exhaust as the backbone, because the loads stack: you have machine heat, body heat from packed operators, humidity from the coast and lint in the air all at once.
The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If the problem is hot, still, heavy air over a big sewing or packing hall, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler at the operator's skin, without blowing lint around the way banks of pedestal fans do. If the problem is something you must get out of the building, dyeing steam, bleaching fumes, ironing and pressing heat, lint haze, you need exhaust. And on dyeing and bleaching floors, where the air is moist and chemical-laden, that means FRP corrosion-proof exhaust that will not rust out.
Why Tirupur knitwear units switch to gearless HVLS
The number that moves Tirupur owners is the power bill, because a knitwear floor runs fans almost every working hour. Our HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 pedestal or wall fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power, with payback typically inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. In Tirupur, where sheds run long cooling hours through a hot, humid summer, that payback comes through steadily.
There is a second reason that matters specifically for knitwear: lint and cloth. Pedestal and wall fans blow hard, localised air that stirs lint up off the floor and across stitched cloth, which operators hate. A high-volume, low-speed HVLS fan moves a large, gentle column of air instead, so it cools the floor evenly without lifting lint onto the fabric. Add gearless, almost-no-maintenance operation, no gearbox to leak oil, and the 2-year warranty, and the maths is straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your hall during the free survey: floor area, roof height, machine and headcount, and your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved before you commit.
Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Tirupur
We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Tirupur unit: factory pricing, custom sizes built in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and Tamil Nadu is regular work for our team, so a Tirupur install is routine for us, not an exception.
We supply and install all over Tirupur, from the SIDCO and TANSIDCO estates to the dyeing clusters and the apparel export units around the town. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor, measuring your area, roof height and your heat, humidity, fume and lint load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single 200-machine sewing hall or a multi-block export factory with its own dye house, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.
From the field
Verified installCase study: a Tirupur knitwear export unit cools its sewing and ironing floor
Before — the problem
A knitwear export unit in one of the Tirupur SIDCO estates called us with a problem we see all over the town. Their 24,000 sq.ft sewing hall held close to 400 machines, and by mid-morning in summer the floor was hot, humid and hazy with lint. Rows of pedestal fans just pushed hot, sticky air around at head height, lifted lint onto the stitched cloth, and drew a steady power load all day, and the ironing line at the far end made it worse with pressing steam.
What Aruth installed
We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 8.5 m, and mapped where the heat and lint were building up over the machine rows and the ironing line. Our recommendation was a combination: four 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open sewing floor to create a steady whole-floor breeze without stirring lint, plus industrial wall exhaust on the ironing-line wall, sized around 36,000 CFM total, to pull the pressing steam and machine heat straight out instead of letting it hang under the roof.
The result
After installation the floor ran noticeably cooler and the lint haze settled, because the HVLS fans moved a gentle column of air instead of blasting it. The plant replaced roughly 20 pedestal fans with far lower running cost, and on their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
